Lung Cancer Europe is pleased to welcome two new team members who will strengthen our policy, advocacy and project work across Europe.

Michaela Regan - EU Policy and Engagement Manager

Michaela Regan joins Lung Cancer Europe as EU Policy and Engagement Manager.

With more than eight years’ experience in public affairs and patient engagement in the UK and Belgium, including work in lung cancer, Michaela brings valuable insight into European health policy and stakeholder engagement. She has worked across multiple disease areas and understands the specific challenges faced by people affected by lung cancer, including the mental health impact and the need for earlier diagnosis.

At Lung Cancer Europe, Michaela will support our EU policy work and help strengthen advocacy efforts to improve outcomes and equitable access to care across Europe.

Rebekka Aarsand - Project Manager

Rebekka Aarsand joins Lung Cancer Europe as Project Manager.

Rebekka is a global health project and advocacy professional with experience at the World Health Organization across digital health, noncommunicable diseases and access to medicines. She has coordinated multi-country initiatives and worked closely with governments, patient organisations and civil society partners.

At Lung Cancer Europe, Rebekka will support the coordination of strategic projects focused on early detection and improving equitable access to lung cancer care across Europe.

We are delighted to have Michaela and Rebekka join our growing team as we continue to advance lung cancer policy, research and advocacy across Europe.
