Lung Cancer Europe to attend Women & Cancer Policy Index launch in Brussels
Lung Cancer Europe will attend the launch of the Women & Cancer Policy Index in Brussels on 17 March 2026. Organised by the European Cancer Organisation, the event will bring together policymakers, advocates and cancer organisations at the European Parliament.
The new index is designed to compare how European countries are addressing cancer among women across prevention, diagnosis, survivorship, caregiving and leadership. It forms part of the European Cancer Organisation’s wider Reach Higher for Cancer Care campaign and comes at a key moment for future European health policy and funding.
Women affected by lung cancer face inequalities in diagnosis, treatment, support and mental health, and these wider policy conversations have implications across the cancer landscape.
Michaela Regan, EU Policy and Engagement Manager, will attend on behalf of Lung Cancer Europe. With more than eight years’ experience in public affairs and patient engagement in the UK and Belgium, including work in lung cancer, she supports the organisation’s EU policy and advocacy work across Europe.
The programme includes contributions from Members of the European Parliament, the European Cancer Organisation, the Swedish Institute for Health Economics and the patient advocacy community.
